Supporting Women and Families

My Process

How it all started

My first experience with childbirth was supporting my high school friend through the birth of her first child. She asked me to sing to her through each contraction. I had no idea what to sing, but was inspired to find just the right melody to ease her pain and give her peace. I bolstered her through each challenge of birth, and she did it!

She birthed her baby naturally. My seventeen-year-old self knew I had been part of a miracle. I searched for a way to put my new found love of birth into action and was introduced to the word Doula.

I instantly knew that’s what I had been for my friend.

I started working as a birth doula in 2003 before I had experienced birth myself. Now as an experienced Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator, Registered Nurse, Birth Assistant and mother of eight, my goal is to give you and your family the attention and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy and labor.

Every woman deserves to have someone there to guide and assist them in making educated choices about their pregnancy, labor, and birth, and remind them that they can trust the strength of their bodies during this time.

In 2020 I certified as a Birth Boot Camp Doula and Childbirth Instructor, and in 2022 I added another doula certification through toLabor. Through that added certification I am able to expand my ability to serve our military community. I am now a Tricare Certified Provider and I accept payment through Tricare Prime and Tricare Select.

I am proud to serve women and families throughout the Texoma area. I’m here to provide unbiased, up to date, research based information and emotional support. Please get in touch to find out more.

If you desire an unmedicated birth, are first-time parents, or are preparing for a VBAC, this class will prepare you on all levels – physically, mentally, and emotionally. We will discuss all things pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum.

I have been part of the birth world for nearly 20 years. I started as a doula in 2003 then continued on to complete a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and become a Registered Nurse in 2006. Soon after, I started my own family and have given birth to 8 children with my loving husband Kyle by my side. My first three babies were born by cesarean section, my next three were VBAC's born at home, my next was a VBAC induced for medical reasons in hospital, and my last VBAC started at home and was ultimately born in the hospital with much needed pain relief. While each child's birth shaped me as a woman and mother, my first VBAC changed me forever. It was a long and trying journey, crowned with a euphoric homebirth. Through my hardship, God blessed me with a heart to love and serve VBAC mothers.

I have always been inspired by the strength of women and the miracle of birth, and I consider myself blessed to have found such a fulfilling career. I love working with expectant mothers and their families to help them navigate the birth and labor process. I look at each new birth as a unique experience as I provide mothers with the encouragement and motivation they need to have an amazing birth.
